BIODIVERSITY RESEARCH CONFERENCE Venue: European Parliament, Rue Wiertz 60, 1047, Brussels Date: 4th November 2009, 11: 00 – 15:45 The STOA Panel in cooperation with the RTD Liaison Officers of CLORA (FR), CZELO (CZ), ENEA (IT), HELMHOLTZ-Gemeinschaft (DE), LEIBNIZ-Gemeinschaft (DE) and POLSCA (PL) are delighted to invite you to a High Level Event on Biodiversity Research which will be held in Brussels on 4th of November 2009 at the European Parliament. The event aims at identifying current gaps and bottlenecks in the biodiversity RTD agenda, exploring and defining research priorities to be considered in the process of development of the EU biodiversity research strategy and foreseing future environmental, social and economic implications. It, thereby, will underpin the Commission’s call “for a shakeup" in EU biodiversity policy (IP/09/649).
